OK I’m playing catch up with the podcasts, its been a busy month… I have a comment on this situation about new good games coming out… The one person that puts it into prospective please try and watch the whole 3 episodes but the last one drives it home why new and innovative games don’t get made or do well (trying to figure out why Wii-U is failing) http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MyXcr6sDRtw
Do u agree?
First off, that’s a great channel. He’s got a great video called “How Pewdiepie Conquered YouTube” that does a great job of explaining YouTube SEO.
I think I agree with what he says about the early adopters. I see Markiplier and other YouTubers on Steam Store pages all the time now. YouTube’s become the source of most people’s information and the way advertisements disseminate. It’s the new “word of mouth.”
Part of the problem for me is most of the people that are being influenced by the early adopters are much younger than me and don’t reflect my taste and opinions. So typically I’m stuck wondering why something like flappy bird is so popular.
